Now I don't claim to be an expert on Asian cuisine and I'm not a professional chef. I've just been interested in Asian history, culture and cuisine for a while (largely because of my family). I'm studying languages and linguistics as a mature-age student; and I'm majoring in Asian Culture, Thai and French languages.  I've focused on Thai cuisine and customs because I'm familiar with them. But each page provides recipes and gift ideas from a range of South-East Asian countries.

The recipes are a collection of dishes I've been making at home for a while from a number of sources. Many of these dishes are influenced by my family (who are Thai) and so I hope they're more authentic than some you might find. (Some of the recipes are heavily influenced by my Thai mother).

Other recipes I've taken straight from chats on the net where surfers have generously offered yummy recipes for great Asian dishes.

This site is not selling anything!! All the information is provided for free. So, please email your thoughts on the site. That'll keep me keen to keep going!

This is our family on Christmas Day'98. My father insists on imposing Christian tradition on our thai family! Generally, they don't seem to mind.
